In Snowmass Village you'll have access to four major ski mountain areas - Snowmass, Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, and Buttermilk. This ski season, Snowmass and Aspen Mountains will be open from November 24 until around the April 16. Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk will be open from December 10 to April 2. The area gets an average yearly snowfall of around 300 inches.
Snowmass contains 3,100 acres of ski worthy terrain. New to Snowmass Mountain is an extended pipeline terrain park containing more intermediate jumps, a fun box, and more. Of the Pipes and Parks, Snowmass boasts three big terrain parks, one superpipe, and one rail yard.
A new lift cuts down the ride time to only eight and-a-half minutes, and there's also a new intermediate level terrain park on Velvet Falls.
Of the 137 miles of trail (87 trails) at Snowmass, six percent of them are easy, 50 percent are intermediate, 12 percent are difficult and 32 percent are expert.
